What People Are Saying
It’s hard to put into words the impact Lindsay’s board and train program has had on our lives! We’re truly blown away everything she accomplished with our pup in such a short period of time.
We adopted our rescue girl Cali from Texas nearly 3 years ago, she was around a year old when we adopted her and we immediately did obedience classes with her which definitely helped but still left a lot to be desired. In the three years we’ve had her, we’ve never been able to take her on leashed walks, she was a chronic puller who was hyper-sensitive to every sound and movement. We resorted to bringing her to a field and playing fetch for her daily exercise (We learned from Lindsay this is not ideal and in turn created an adrenaline junkie). Cali also had leash reactivity with other dogs, pulling, jumping and growling at any dog we would pass. She also demonstrated resource guarding, and would growl/show her teeth at our older dog anytime he came near her food dish or her toys. She was always on edge in our house, and would constantly pace whenever we were getting ready to go anywhere or whenever she needed anything. Cali would also bark and run / jump at the door anytime someone came to the door or Amazon dropped off a package.
We gave Lindsay all of these details before dropping Cali off for her 21 day board and train session and could have never imagined she would be able to work on and fix every single one of these issues. On the day of drop off Lindsay sat with us and explained every little detail and made sure to ask lots of questions to make sure she understood what was going on with Cali. We felt extremely comfortable with Lindsay within minutes and knew we made the right choice. Over the course of the 21 days Lindsay provided updates including videos and photos and was in constant communication during the stay.
When the 21 days was up Lindsay brought Cali to our home and you could immediately see the differences. Upon coming in the house she put Cali in “place” where she stayed for an extended period of time while Lindsay debriefed us on everything that happened over the 21 days. Lindsay explained the root cause of Cali’s behaviours and what she did to address them and what we would need to continue with to ensure they don’t come back.
The difference in Cali is incredible. She is a much more calm dog now and her confidence has grown and continues to grow. She is a dream to walk now! With the heel command she has perfect leash manners and there is zero pulling, and now there is absolutely zero leash reactivity. We can walk by a dog who is barking and pulling toward us and she doesn’t pay them any attention. I truly can’t believe the difference. We’ve been able to take her to so many new places, including restaurant patios without any worries at all. In the house, she is much more calm, hasn’t paced at all or shown her teeth / growled at our other dog. Place has been amazing as well, when on place and someone comes to the door she remains on her bed and we no longer have to worry about having company over or her running to the door.
Lindsay explained to us that Cali needs structure, house rules, and she needs jobs to do (being on place, structured walks, etc) to become a more calm and confident dog. Lindsay provided us with a thorough training program to follow along with a relationship building guide for us to put in place so that we can set Cali up for continued success. Lindsay helped us understand how dogs think vs how we think so that we can now use that knowledge in future situations so that we can ensure we make the best choices for Cali.
The board and train was an absolute life changer for us, it was exactly what we needed and what we were looking for and were couldn’t be happier with the results! We would highly recommend Lindsay for any issues you may be having with your dog, you won’t regret it!

Lindsay made our dreams come true. When we met our 11 month old cockapoo Ripp - he stole our hearts. He was confident, full of personality and very loving. As he grew from a puppy it was obvious that he needed work on his listening, mischievous chewing, barking in his crate, and jumping up on people. The high energy of two young kids at home made it a battle for Ripp to relax. He dominated our outdoor walks with pulling, and his energy was constant.
After two weeks with Lindsay, Ripp came home ready to show us how much work he put in. He is in tune with his environment, shows much more calm affection, is content with his structure, napping like a champ, and best of all, he is proud of the independence he’s gained.
Lindsay had great communication with us during his time away, and continues to support us following his return.
Lindsay, thank you for bringing out the dog we all knew Ripp could be. He is the perfect addition to our busy family life. The Maxk9 training program and your amazing leadership set him up for a lifetime of success, great dog naps and new adventures!

Chowie did a 15-day Board & Train and we could not be happier with the result!
We were in a rut with our routine with Chowie: walking him was frustrating because he pulled so much, and he was never off leash because his recall was nonexistent. As a result he had way too much energy and we didn’t walk him as much as we should.
We have had dogs our whole lives and on an intellectual level we knew what we needed to do to get him in a better place, but our very busy family was definitely lacking on the consistency and follow through that was needed to change the status quo. Lindsay was able to offer him a lot of consistency and structure, and he learned so much from her and from being part of her “pack”.
It was very strange to not have him at home. When we booked the Board & Train dates we thought we would be travelling during his stay. I am SO glad we kept his Board & Train even though we were just at home. By the end of the 15 days, Chowie was even helping with Lindsay’s other clients, and is so proud to show off his new skills. His mastery of the “Place” command and his loose leash walk has been wonderful.
We absolutely will make a Board and Train stay with Lindsay an annual tradition if we can. What a positive experience - for not much more than the cost of traditional boarding, Chowie (and his humans!) received a customized training experience.

“We brought our high energy lab, Bella, to Lindsay for a two week board and train. Lindsay put our minds at ease right away when we dropped Bella off and was great giving us updates with videos and pictures each day. We could tell Bella was having a lot of fun and was so busy each day that our worry for her missing us quickly went away.
When we picked Bella up two weeks later she was a changed dog, for the better! She can loose leash walk (which she wasn't even close to doing before), behaves in the car, has excellent recall, can go in stores and not be pulling this way and that. We now take her so many places she didn't go before just for that part of it.
Lindsay was very patient when we picked Bella up and explained everything in a clear manner and gave us a sheet with all the information as well. Bella is still her care free playful self, but now knows how to settle down and get back to business as well. We can't say enough good things about Lindsay and are so grateful for her help with Bella. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lindsay as a trainer for a second..”

“We brought our high energy 5 year old labradoodle to Lindsay a few months ago for board and train. After 5 years we had let some not so great habits go and not dealt with them, mostly because we didn’t know how. Within days I was getting videos of Lindsay working with Luna and she had her walking like a champ! Her recall has been amazing! Lindsay helped us understand the root of Luna’s issues and explained everything along the way. Since then we’ve been able to continue to work with her. We can’t thank Lindsay enough!”

“We sent our girl, Lexi to lindsays to work on recall and loose leash walking. She has never been trusted off leash. Anywhere. And within a few days at lindsays she was running free through the forest. It was such a special moment to see her so free and happy ! And no more pulling on the leash which is wonderful! She has much better focus on us than she ever did. She took such good care of her and gave us constant updates with videos and photos on her everyday. She also gave us so much insight on other issues we were having with her. Its helped us to better understand Lexi! She is still learning in new environments but is much much better thanks to lindsay ! She gave us a great start to training our beautiful siberian husky ! Would highly recommend her !!”

“Can’t even describe how grateful we are for Lindsay! We rescued Odin at 6 months and, not long after, realized he was having some food aggression issues and it was almost impossible to walk him on a leash without him pulling my arm off. He had a serious car chasing problem on top of that. He was hit by a car (he was okay thank goodness) and that was the final straw! Lindsay assured us that she could help and she was true to her word! We got Odin back from her 21 day board and train program and he was still our goofy pup, but SO MUCH LESS reactive. I am now able to take food right out of his mouth with no issue. He’s able to sit on the front porch with us and NOT react to the cars driving by. I can also walk him with a loose leash. We learned so much from Lindsay and the whole process was so enjoyable. She treated our animal like one of her own with love and respect, but still showed him who’s boss. We have a whole new relationship with our dog and can’t thank Lindsay enough for it.”

Lindsay has taken our Boxer/Pit and totally transformed her. She is a way more confident and obedient dog after major anxiety issues and I swear I learned more about my dog in the process then anything. I am beyond pleased with how she trains dogs and how passionate she is about their wellbeing. Both humans and dog in this house hold are way happier and more confident in each other. I cannot thank her enough!!! She still hasn’t tried to get up on the couch since drop off day

“Lindsay was absolutely amazing! My boxer/am staff stayed with her for 21 days and he came back a totally different dog! He gained confidence and lots of obedience. Lindsay sent me daily updates on how my baby was doing and treated him like her own. Lindsay is very professional and an absolutely wonderful person to work with. Can’t say enough good about her! Levi will definitely be back for dog socials & boarding!!”
